Adult Classes

Make new friends, learn new skills, stay active and keep your mind sharp while socializing - what is not perfect about this group of classes? These are just a few of the endless benefits of our adult programming options. If you have a suggestion for a new or different class, please tell us - we are always looking for innovating classes to try and people to help us pilot them!
Garden Plots

If you build it and plant it IT WILL GROW! And maybe you just don't have the space at home - and we heard you - so we created a community garden just for you!

The Berwyn Park District offers fourteen garden plots for rental.  Our Community Garden is a space where our Berwyn Community can come together - a place located at the corner of 29th place and Home Avenue, where plots are tilled and available for planting April 1 each year for our residents to plant.  Water is available  for you to use to keep your plants healthy and growing. You need to bring your own water carrying containers. Plant and seed purchases are the responsibility of the gardener. New this year, the area will be fenced as there is no security at our garden site. Please help your fellow Community Gardeners keep our garden safe - if you See Something, Say Something! Call 911 or Call the Park District if you see any suspicious activity.

Proksa Park Garden Club

The Proksa Park Garden Club is blooming every day with greatness! Supported by the Berwyn Park District, we welcome new members to dig in with us at any time!

Meet us in the Proksa Park Multi-Purpose Room at 3001 S. Wisconsin Ave at 6:30pm on the third Monday of each month.  Occasional special functions are held and will be posted on the Garden Club section of the Park District website.

Club members are encouraged to volunteer to help design, create and maintain several gardens in the park.  These include a Butterfly Garden, a Native Plant Garden, a Children's Garden, and other general plantings.

We are always looking for volunteers to help plant, weed, and harvest our gardens in Proksa Park.

If you would like to help out, please contact Deborah Gayon at any time - no experience necessary, a positive attitude always desired. Once you get started, you can work on the plot of your choice anytime the park is open.
