Berwyn Park Districts to Close All Facilities and Programs Effective March 17
Berwyn Park District families,

Due to the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) Berwyn Park District officials will be closing all facilities and programs effective March 17 and tentatively re-opening April 6. Facility closures include Proksa Park Activity Center, Freedom Park Administrative Building and Liberty Cultural Center. This also includes the cancellation of all programs including Indoor Soccer Leagues, Early Childhood Programs, Senior Trips and the Easter Egg Hunt taking place on April 10. Baseball and Soccer field use is permitted at the individuals’ discretion, but the fields will not be maintained at this time.

The health and safety of our patrons is of paramount importance. We are following the best practices laid out by the Center for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health. To align with the CDC recommendation to limit all public gatherings with 50 people or more we will be cancelling all facility rentals through May 17.

The only exception to the closures will be Election Day on March 17. Polling will remain open and available at Proksa Park Activity Center and Liberty Cultural Center.

We understand this is an unprecedented situation for our community. We will offer a credit for programs that have not begun and a pro-rated credit for classes or programs in progress. If the participant would like a refund in place of a credit, that will also be permitted.

Residents and customers of the Berwyn Park District may visit our website for any updated information regarding facility openings, program reimbursements or credit, as well as basic COVID-19 updates.

Be well and stay healthy!
