Freedom Park 5-12 Age Group Playground Closing October 14th
After many unsuccessful attempts to secure various grants, we regret to inform you that the larger Freedom Park playground will be removed starting Monday, October 14.

While the playground has serviced the community well over the last 21 years, it has unfortunately come to the end of its service life. We will continue to search for ways to improve this area of the park, while fostering imagination and creativity through play. At the current time, we feel the best impact that we can make is to remove a structure that is no longer representative of our mission to provide superior parks and recreational services.

Thanks to the assistance of a grant from the Berwyn Public Health District, we did replace the Tot Lot at Freedom Park earlier this year. The cost of the playground was approximately $52,000.

Please be patient as we look to provide impactful and inspiring equipment to the youth of Berwyn. For more information, please contact Executive Director, Jeff Janda, at 708-788-1701 or jjanda@berwynparks.org.
