Berwyn Selected to Receive $175,000 Tourism Attractions and Festivals Grant
The Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC) announced that it has been selected to receive a $175,000 grant from the Tourism Attractions and Festivals Grant Program from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO).

The grant funding, along with the BDC’s matching contribution of $75,000, will be used to purchase one portable bandshell and eight block party wagons.

In partnership with the Berwyn Park District and North Berwyn Park District, the eight wagons will also be used to support Berwyn’s dynamic special events season. Each wagon will be stocked with 100 chairs, 10 tables, a 10’x10’ tent, a bags game, and a public announcement system. Together, the wagons will reduce the cost of rentals and minimize the set-up coordination required for events throughout the year. BPD News
